私は誓う、地上の何ものよりもわが国に、
すべての完全なそして純粋な愛の奉仕を。
その愛には疑問が生じることはない。その愛は試練に耐える力をもつ。
その愛は、他のいかなるものよりも大切で、そして、尊い。
その愛はひるむことはない。その愛は価値あるものである。
その愛があれば、いかなる犠牲にもくじけることはない。

また、「もうひとつの国」 があることを、むかし聞いたことがある。
その国を愛する人にとっては、もっとも大切な国であり、
その国を知る人にとっては、もっとも偉大な国である。
その国には軍隊もなく、王もいない。
その国を守るすべは、誠実な心だけであり、受難を誇りとする。
そして、心にしみいるように、そして、静かに、その国の輝きは増してゆく。
その国のやりかたは、思いやりにみちたやりかたであり、
そして、すべての道すじが平和である。
